
Since 2025, China's healthcare services have continued to be a hot topic of global attention by virtue of its remarkable advantages of convenient accessibility, cost-effectiveness and efficient diagnosis and treatment, attracting more and more international tourists to come to China to experience healthcare services and visit for exchanges. In order to further clarify the current development status of foreign-related medical services, accurately sort out the development pain points and advantages, and explore the effective path for the high-quality development of foreign-related medical services, a delegation from Guangzhou Municipal Committee of Zhigong Party, Haizhu Grass-roots Committee, and Haizhu District Council for the Promotion of International Trade visited Kaiqiang Memorial Hospital on May 12 to carry out a special research activity on foreign-related medical services.



At the beginning of the research, accompanied by Zhao Xuping, Executive Vice President of Kaiqiang Memorial Hospital, the research group visited the hospital's Health Management Center, Medical Imaging Center and other departments, and focused on the eighth floor of the International Medical Department. The research group was impressed by the modernized diagnosis and treatment environment, international leading equipment configuration and humanized service process.

In the Medical Imaging Center, the hospital has introduced a series of high-precision equipments such as Siemens 3.0T Superconducting Magnetic Resonance, Siemens Ultra-High-End Quantum Dual-Source CT, Siemens Mammography, and Japan Olympus Endoscopic Imaging System, which provide a solid guarantee for accurate diagnosis and treatment.

In the International Medical Department, the research group experienced the star hotel-like medical environment, multilingual diagnostic and treatment services as well as the whole process of professional accompaniment and other internationalized services, which further deepened the understanding of the hospital's foreign-related medical service capacity.



After the visit, the two sides held a symposium. At the meeting, Su Wei, Deputy Director of International Medical Department of Kaiqiang Memorial Hospital, introduced in detail the hospital's development and characteristic advantages in foreign medical services.
Director Su introduced that the International Medical Department of Kaiqiang Memorial Hospital has passed the DNV international standard certification and obtained ISO three major management system certifications, establishing an international standard quality assurance and risk management system. The department is centered on four core service segments: Famous Doctor Studio, Specialist Outpatient Clinic, International Medical Care, and VIP Physical Examination, and has created a high-quality service system that covers fast appointment of famous doctors and specialists, multi-disciplinary specialist consultation (MDT), one-on-one customization of VIP Physical Examination, multi-language diagnostic and treatment services in Chinese, English, French, and Korean, professional nurses accompanying patients in the whole process of diagnostic and treatment, a five-star medical care environment, and convenient direct payment of commercial insurance, and so on.

In terms of drug protection, the International Medical Department insists on using imported original research drugs to ensure global quality and precise treatment. At the same time, it actively builds an international cooperation network and links global medical resources, and has welcomed visits from foreign envoys such as the Consul General of France in Guangzhou and the Consul General of Côte d'Ivoire in Guangzhou, and has become the designated service organization of many international chambers of commerce, the Arab Businessmen's Forum, and the Guangzhou Korean Businessmen's Union.

The research team fully affirmed the achievements made by Kaiqiang Memorial Hospital in the field of foreign-related medical services, and put forward constructive opinions on policy support, payment system, international accreditation and other aspects. Both sides agreed that to promote the high-quality development of foreign medical services, it is necessary for the government, medical institutions, industry associations and other parties to make concerted efforts to continue to optimize the service process, enhance the level of service, and strengthen international exchanges and cooperation.


This research activity not only enhances the communication and understanding between government departments and social medical institutions, but also provides useful reference and decision-making basis for further promoting the quality and efficiency of foreign medical services in Guangzhou and helping to build an international medical business environment. Kaiqiang Memorial Hospital will take this research as an opportunity to continue to play the role of a bridge “linking global medical resources”, adhere to the service concept of “excellent medical care, sincere guardianship”, and continue to improve the capacity of foreign-related medical services, contributing to the construction of a new highland of international medical care in Guangzhou.
